TabTrade Review - A Look at This New CFD Broker

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade opened in Q1 2026. CFD broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an well-known broker.

That last detail tells you something. It means the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. 1,000+. For something this new, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

Available: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both matters. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people prefer it once they try it.

FIX API is available for algo traders but needs the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would be a good addition once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the overall offering is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

Regulation

This is the part that requires honesty. Tab Trade is licensed by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with proper execution infrastructure. That does not make it safe. It does factor into how you think about it.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

The Bonus

Tab Trade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, they top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before bonus funds can be taken out. Read the conditions before you commit.
